FAQ

Q. Does the shop accept walk-ins?

A. Due to COVID-19 protocols, we are no longer accepting walk-ins. Appointment only until further notice.

Q. Does the shop offer piercings, permanent cosmetics and/or micro-blading?

A. We only offer tattoo services.

Q. How old do I need to be to get tattooed?

A. At Grave Tattoo we do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent. A valid driver’s license or government issued photo I.D. is mandatory to get tattooed.

Q. Do you do cover up tattoos?

A. Cover ups are based on the artist discretion. There are many variables that determine whether a cover up is possible. Depending on the pigment and layout, some tattoos may require laser removal to lighten first. Please keep an open mind with ideas, as options are limited for a successful coverup. Multiple sessions may be required.

Q. Are there things you will not tattoo?

A. We reserve the right to refuse certain subject matter or placement.

Q. How do I schedule an appointment?

A. Fill out the appointment form on the website or stop in for a consultation during shop hours to inquire with one of our artist for availability.

Q. Do I have to leave a deposit?

A. Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to book a tattoo appointment. The amount is determined by the artist. The deposit comes off the total price of the tattoo at the end of the session.

Q. How much will my tattoo cost?

A. Our artist charge hourly and day rates. The amount of hours needed depends on the size, detail and placement of the tattoo. An hourly estimate is given at the time the appointment is scheduled. A more accurate quote will be given once the artist has finalized the design.

Q. Will I see a design before my appointment?

A. Our artist do not provide designs before the appointment. All designs are done the day you come in. You’ll discuss your ideas with your artist and they will design your tattoo to your satisfaction. When the design is finished, the tattooing process begins.

Q. Can I bring people to my appointment?

A. Due to COVID-19 protocols, no visitors will be allowed. Only clients who have a tattoo appointment.

Q. How should I prepare for my appointment?

A. We strongly advise you don’t get tattooed on an empty stomach. Please eat before your tattoo appointment. We offer complimentary refreshments and snacks during your tattoo session. There is also a convenience store and restaurants within walking distance. Wear something comfortable that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.

Q. Can I apply numbing cream before getting tattooed?

A. We understand tattoos can be painful. We advise you don’t apply numbing creams before your appointment. They work for a relatively short time and can affect the quality of the tattoo ink. Our artist can use numbing spray during the tattoo for pain relief.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

A. All deposits are non-refundable, no exceptions. Minimum 48 hours notice to retain deposit. Appointments cancelled the day before or same day forfeit the deposit for blocking out the artist time.
